Cirial Mezcal

Cirial (Agave karwinskii) is the lesser-known karwinskii cousin. Taller and narrower than barril, leaner than madrecuishe – the lifted aromatic note in three-plant karwinskii ensambles, more often than a solo bottling. Mezcalosfera, NETA, and a handful of single-maestro Sola de Vega releases produce solo cirials when batches allow. The agave needs 46%+ proof to carry its register without going thin; below that, the aromatic signature mutes.
