Verdict
No consensus score here, so we're calling this on our own tasting: a pleasant, copper-soft Michoacán ensamble that plays down the individual agaves in favor of a smooth composite. Good for introducing someone to Michoacán without handing them a difficult bottle; not the Oponguio release we reach for when we want Michoacán to bite. The house's Filipino-still bottles speak louder.
An ensamble where the blend sanded off the edges instead of sharpening them
Tasting notes
Nose: Cooked agave, herbs, a little citrus peel, faint smoke
Palate: 47% – copper softens the Oponguio house profile compared to the Filipino-still cupreata; the ensamble reads more rounded and fruity, with the different agaves blending into a single legible note rather than arguing
Finish: Warm, clean – medium
The bottom line
Buy if you want polite Michoacán; go Ineaquidens for louder
