Verdict
No consensus for this one either – we land at a middle-ground bottle that trades a little Sonoran character for a little cocktail-cabinet polish. Skip in favor of the blanco or silvestre; either makes the stronger argument for why bacanora matters. Sits comfortably alongside Sotol Rústico as a regional introduction, but isn't the Kilinga bottle to buy.
Reposado bacanora: smoother but smaller
Tasting notes
Nose: Light oak, then dried herb, caramel, desert grass
Palate: 40% – the reposado sits between the blanco's rawness and the añejo's wood-forward richness; at 40% the barrel does audible work
Finish: Dry, faintly sweet – medium
The bottom line
Skip in favor of silvestre or blanco in the range
