Verdict
Tesla Mezcal is what happens when a brand known for electric vehicles commissions a limited-run spirit. The tahona-milled, copper-distilled base is legitimate, but the 43% proof and the consumer-safe profile suggest the liquid was built for the bottle, not the other way around. Pass unless you collect bottles. Octavio Jarquín's work deserves a better vehicle.

Tasting notes
Nose: Cooked agave walks in first, then light smoke, a faint citrus, vanilla
Palate: 43% is a commercial-safe proof, and the espadín-bicuishe blend here reads polished but undercommitted – Octavio Jarquín has made better bottles for less branded vehicles
Finish: Medium, clean, faintly sweet
The bottom line
Ornamental. The collectible is the point, not the pour
