Verdict

Aurelio Garcia's two-agave ensamble uses Tepehuano names for both components, which is the kind of label decision that tells you something about how seriously the producer takes the culture the plants come from. At 50% the blend holds cleanly, and each voice stays legible. Hunt it for the rarity and for the liquid.

Tasting notes

Nose: Dry herbs with warm stone, pine

Palate: With the two Tepehuano-named agaves each contributing distinct facets, austere mineral from one, aromatic lift from the other; dense and structured at 50%

Finish: Drying, limestone, very long

The bottom line

Rarity earns it. A Tepehuano ensamble at reference proof
