Verdict

Beto and Julian's verde bottling is one of three maestro versions of the same agave Vinatero runs – a Durango terroir-and-hand study in parallel. At 50.1% the structure holds, and the verde's mineral austerity reads cleanly. Between this and the Samuel Torres verde, you can taste two distinct voices in one plant. Taste both if Durango is your subject.

Nombre de Dios is quietly writing Durango's reference shelf

Tasting notes

Nose: Dry herbs with warm stone

Palate: Structured and aromatic, with the verde agave reading drier and more mineral than the southern wild expressions

Finish: Cooling, chalky – very long

The bottom line

Quietly excellent. Durango verde from a reference collaboration
