Mezcal from San Isidro Guishe, Oaxaca

San Isidro Guishe is one of the Sola de Vega-adjacent villages best known for karwinskii-family work. Solo cuishe, madrecuishe, and tobaziche bottlings come from a small handful of palenques here; the village's signature runs sharper and more aromatic than highland-Miahuatlán karwinskii bottlings, with altitude and water giving Guishe bottles a cooler, more mineral finish. Bottles ship $70-$110. Mezcalosfera and NETA anchor the producer pool.
