Nombre de Dios is one of Durango's principal mezcal villages. A Sierra Madre Occidental cluster where most state cenizo production runs through. The signature follows broader Durango mezcal: dry, mineral, savory, longer rests and higher proof than most Oaxacan equivalents. 4 Vientos, Lágrimas de Dolores, and a handful of smaller single-maestro Durango labels lead the conversation. Bottles run $45-$80.
